Run a Make scenario from every form submission

FormThunder triggers a Make scenario through Make's Custom webhook module: create the webhook in Make, set its URL on your form, and each submission starts the scenario with the form fields as mapped values. This uses FormThunder's webhook feature, included on the Pro plan.

Updated

Set it up

  1. In Make, start a scenario with Webhooks, then Custom webhook, and copy the address.
  2. Set it as the form's webhook. Leave Make's module listening for data.
  3. Send a test submission so Make can determine the data structure, then map the fields in your next module.
Set it through the API
curl -X PATCH https://formthunder.com/api/v1/forms/YOUR_FORM_ID \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer ft_live_..." \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"integrations":{"webhook":{"enabled":true,"url":"https://hook.make.com/XXXX"}}}'

What to know about Make

  • Make needs one sample to learn the structure. Send a test that fills in every field, optional ones included, or the empty ones won't appear for mapping.
  • If you add a form field later, re-run Make's Determine data structure step so the new field can be mapped.
  • Scenarios must be switched on to run outside the editor. Until then Make queues or rejects webhook calls depending on its settings, and that shows up in the delivery's status.

Or ask your AI

An agent connected over MCP can set this up, send a test through it and read the result.

You, to your AI
Send submissions from my contact form to Make. Send a test and tell me whether it arrived.

Questions

Can I check the signature in Make?

Make's Custom webhook can expose request headers when you turn on Get request headers, and you can compare a signature in a later module. Most scenarios rely on the private URL instead.

Which plan do I need?

Pro or Agency on FormThunder, since the route uses webhooks. Make's own limits on operations apply on its side.

Connect your form to Make

Integrations are on Pro at $12 a month and Agency at $39 a month. The form itself is free to start.
